Meet Our Team.
Vijay P. Mamidwar
With 25 years of industry experience across India, Tanzania and Botswana, and having worked with leading multinational insurers including AIG, Chubb, ERGO, Tokio Marine and Sompo Japan, Vijay brings vast and in-depth expertise to leading SIC. He holds a Master's in Business Administration and is an Associate of the Insurance Institute of India.
Weston T. Nende
Oversees financial reporting, solvency management and regulatory compliance, and is SIC's primary liaison with NBFIRA on prudential matters.
Mpho Bagatiseng
Holds a Certificate in Proficient Short-Term Insurance and a Postgraduate qualification in Enterprise Risk Management from the Botswana Accountancy College, a Diploma in Accounting and Business Studies from the University of Botswana, and a Certificate in Anti-Money Laundering (AML). Brings 10 years of experience in short-term insurance.
Ramasedi W. Ramasedi
Leads claims assessment and settlement across engineering, motor and commercial classes, from first notification through to final payment.
Jayjay Xu
Jayjay leads client relations for SIC's Chinese-speaking contracting clients, providing policy servicing, renewals and claims support in Mandarin alongside English. This dedicated channel reflects the significant role Chinese contractors play in Botswana's infrastructure sector.
